Minairal

Office drinking water systems, without the 19-litre gallons.

A point-of-use system produces filtered, remineralised water in the office, hot and cold, from the existing water line or from the air. No gallons to order, carry, store or return.

What an office needs from its water.

An office drinking water system replaces the 19-litre gallon dispenser with a unit that makes its own water on site. The needs it answers are practical ones.

No deliveries

No standing order with a supplier, no one waiting in for the truck, no empty gallons stacked by the door.

No lifting

The water in a full 19-litre gallon alone weighs 19 kg. Someone has to lift it onto the dispenser, several times a week.

Free-flow access

Staff fill their own glass or bottle as often as they want, without rationing the last gallon on a Friday.

Hot and cold

Hot water at 90°C for tea and coffee, cold at 4°C, from the same unit.

Water kept in the system

On Pure, water stays in stainless steel tanks with continuous UV-C sterilisation and internal recirculation, rather than in an opened gallon emptied over several days.

Pantry space

No corner of the pantry given over to full and empty gallons.

The recommended configuration.

Free-flow stations where people work, sized to the headcount on each floor. In most offices the pantry line makes Pure the starting point.

Air, when the plumbing cannot change.

Air suits an office where no line reaches the right spot, or a tenancy where the plumbing cannot be modified. The systems work between 30% and 80% relative humidity, and an air-conditioned room is drier than an open one, so the assessment checks the room where the unit will stand.

The Air range

Pure, from the pantry line.

There is almost always a line in the pantry. Pure adds five-stage reverse osmosis, remineralisation, continuous UV-C sterilisation and internal recirculation, hot at 90°C and cold at 4°C, installed in under an hour.

The Pure range

What the office stops buying.

The method published on this site: people × 2 litres × 365 days, divided by 19 litres per gallon. It counts every day of the year, so for an office open five days a week it is an upper bound.

1,92119-litre gallons a year, 50 people
37gallons a week to order, carry and return
36,500litres a year produced on site
0gallon deliveries once the system runs
20 people
20 × 2 L × 365 ÷ 19 = 768 gallons a year
50 people
50 × 2 L × 365 ÷ 19 = 1,921 gallons a year, about 37 a week
100 people
100 × 2 L × 365 ÷ 19 = 3,842 gallons a year
50 people, working days only
50 × 2 L × 260 ÷ 19 = 1,368 gallons a year, about 26 a week

Each of those gallons is a delivery to receive, a 19 kg lift, a space in the pantry and an empty to return. Producing the water in the office takes all four off the list.

Your headcount and working days change the figures. The impact calculator has a 19-litre gallon setting.

Switching from gallons.

The change takes one visit. After the site assessment, systems are checked and configured before delivery, then placed, connected and tested on site. A Pure system installs in under an hour.

Your team is trained on the machines actually installed, with manuals and quick-start guides, and the installation ends with a report signed by both parties. From the next day, the gallon order can stop.

Office questions.

How many 19-litre gallons does an office use a year?

With the method used on this site, 2 litres per person per day over 365 days, an office of 50 people uses 50 × 2 × 365 ÷ 19 = 1,921 gallons a year. Counting only 260 working days, it is 1,368 gallons, about 26 a week.

Do we need plumbing work to replace the gallon dispenser?

Not usually. Pure connects to an existing water line, usually in the pantry, in under an hour. Where there is no line, or the lease does not allow changes, an Air system only needs to be plugged in.

How is the water treated?

Reverse osmosis at 0.0001 micron removes heavy metals and dissolved contaminants, a post-carbon stage polishes taste and smell, and a Biocera mineral filter restores calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. The result is alkaline, pH 8.5 or above, with 40 to 80 ppm of total dissolved solids.

Can staff get hot water for tea and coffee?

Yes. Pure systems deliver hot water at 90°C and cold water at 4°C. In the Air range, the Air Top and Air Stand deliver hot and cold.

Who looks after the systems?

Minairal technicians replace the pre-filter every 4 to 6 months depending on the system, the other cartridges every 12 months, and check TDS and pH during routine maintenance. The office team has a named local contact, and a fault gets a response the same day in most cases, 48 hours at the latest.
