Minairal

How to choose an atmospheric water generator supplier in Thailand.

The machine matters, and so does the company behind it. A neutral checklist to compare suppliers before you sign, whoever they are.

The short answer.

Choose a supplier you can verify and visit. A reliable atmospheric water generator supplier in Thailand is a registered company you can look up at the Department of Business Development, with a showroom where the machines run, technicians where you are, machines and spare parts in stock in the country, a written service plan with scheduled filter changes, a stated response time, a clear warranty and a trial before you pay.

Ask as well for the number of systems installed and for references, for a choice of technology rather than a single machine, and for output stated as an average under given conditions rather than a best-case maximum. A supplier who meets all of these will still be there when a filter is due or a part wears out.

The checklist.

Eleven points to check with any supplier, before you sign.

Checklist for choosing an atmospheric water generator supplier in Thailand: what to check, why it matters and how to verify it.
What to checkWhy it mattersHow to verify
A registered companyA registered company has a legal identity, an address and a director you can hold to a contract and a warranty.Ask for the company name and its 13-digit registration number, then look it up on the Department of Business Development (DBD) website.
A showroom you can visitSeeing a machine run, and tasting its water, tells you more than a brochure or a video.Visit the store and check that the machines on display are switched on and producing water.
Technicians where you areAn island or a provincial town is a long way from a warehouse. Local technicians mean installation and repairs without waiting for a trip.Ask where the nearest technician is based, and whether the technicians are the supplier's own staff.
Machines and parts in local stockFilters, pumps and fans wear over time. If every part has to be imported, a simple fault can last for weeks.Ask which machines and parts are held in Thailand, and where.
A service plan and filter changesThe quality of the water depends on filters being changed on time.Ask for the filter schedule in writing, and who carries out the changes.
A stated response timeA drinking water machine that stops leaves people without water.Ask for the average response time in hours, and how to reach support, in which languages.
A clear warrantyYou need to know what is covered and for how long, whether you buy or rent.Ask for the warranty period on a purchase and what a rental or lease contract covers.
A trial before you buyOutput depends on the humidity and temperature of your site. A trial shows what the machine really does there.Ask for a trial on your site, before any commitment.
An installed base and referencesA supplier with many machines in service has already met the problems your site may have.Ask how many systems are installed, and for references in your sector or area.
More than one technologyWater from the air suits some sites; on others, reverse osmosis on the water line is the better choice. A supplier with a single machine will recommend that machine.Ask which technologies the supplier offers, and what would make them recommend one over the other.
Output given as an averageOutput varies with humidity and temperature. A figure with no conditions, or a best-case maximum, cannot be compared.Ask for the average daily output and the humidity and temperature it assumes.

Why the supplier matters as much as the machine.

An atmospheric water generator is not a one-off purchase. It runs every day for years, its filters need changing on schedule, and the people who drink from it expect it to work. The supplier's team, stock and response time decide how well it does.

In Thailand this weighs even more on the islands and in provincial towns, where a part or a technician may be a ferry or a flight away. A supplier with stores, stock and technicians close to you turns a breakdown into a short visit.

Questions about choosing a supplier.

More answers on the FAQ page.

How do I check that a supplier is a registered company in Thailand?

Ask for the company's 13-digit registration number and look it up on the Department of Business Development (DBD) website, which shows the registered name, date of registration, capital and address. Minairal is registered as MINAIRAL CO., LTD., number 0845567012457, since 30 April 2024.

Is it safe to buy an atmospheric water generator with no local technician?

It is possible, but the machine needs filter changes and the occasional repair. Without a technician and parts nearby, a simple fault can leave you without water for weeks. Check who will install and service the machine, and where they are based.

What should the warranty cover?

Ask what is covered, for how long, and who does the work. At Minairal, a purchase comes with a one-year warranty, and on a rental or lease contract of 2, 5 or 7 years the machine is covered for the whole term.

Why choose a supplier that offers more than one technology?

Because the right answer depends on the site. Air makes water from the humidity in the air and needs no water connection; Pure filters an existing water line by reverse osmosis. A supplier who offers both can recommend the one that fits, rather than the only one it sells.

Can I see and try a Minairal system before deciding?

Yes. You can see the machines working in our stores in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phuket and Hua Hin, and Minairal offers a free one-week trial on your site in its coverage areas.
