Minairal

Water systems for villas and managed portfolios.

One system per villa, producing mineral drinking water from the air or from the villa water line. For owners, and for management companies running a portfolio of properties across the islands.

What a villa needs from its water.

A villa works like a small hotel with no back-of-house. Water arrives by delivery, guests change every few days, and the supplier may be across the island or across the water.

A self-sufficient supply

Island and coastal networks add salinity and pressure loss at peak demand. An Air system needs no water connection at all.

No deliveries to coordinate

No one has to meet a water truck between check-out and check-in, or count bottles during housekeeping.

Water ready on arrival

Hot and cold drinking water in the kitchen from the first hour, without a welcome pack of plastic bottles.

One standard across a portfolio

For a management company, the same system and the same maintenance schedule in every villa, serviced by one team.

Island logistics

On an island, every bottle arrives by boat and then truck. Producing water in the villa removes that freight.

The recommended configuration.

One system per villa, chosen for the number of guests and the water supply at that address. Air is the usual starting point.

Air, one unit per villa.

One unit per property, plugged in, independent of the network and of deliveries. A villa management company in Koh Samui runs Air systems, one per villa. Output figures are daily averages, and the systems work between 30% and 80% relative humidity.

The Air range

Pure, where the line is reliable.

Pure fits a villa on a reliable mains connection, where a stable volume from the line is wanted. Five-stage reverse osmosis with remineralisation, hot and cold, in countertop or floor-standing formats.

The Pure range

What a villa stops buying.

The method published on this site: 2 litres per person per day, 365 days, half-litre bottles. A villa is rarely full every night, so the figures below are the ceiling at full occupancy.

8,760bottles a year, one villa of six guests
175,200bottles a year across 20 villas
12 La day per villa at full occupancy
0water deliveries for an Air system
One villa
6 guests × 2 L × 365 = 4,380 litres a year
In 0.5 L bottles
4,380 ÷ 0.5 = 8,760 bottles a year per villa
A portfolio of 20 villas
20 × 8,760 = 175,200 bottles a year
In 19 L gallons
20 × 4,380 ÷ 19 = 4,611 gallons a year

At 12 litres a day, a six-guest villa sits within the average output of a single Air Stand, 16 litres a day. The assessment confirms the model against local conditions.

Assumptions: six guests per villa, full occupancy. Apply your own occupancy rate, or run the portfolio through the impact calculator.

Run the figures for your site

Managing a portfolio of villas.

For a management company, the value is in standardisation. The same system in every villa means one set of consumables, one maintenance schedule and one training session for the housekeeping team.

Villas are serviced from the nearest centre: Koh Samui, which also covers Koh Phangan, Phuket or Hua Hin. Each installation ends with a report signed by both parties, so every owner has a record of what was installed in their villa.

For your own home rather than a rental portfolio, residential air-to-water systems are on our online shop.

Villa questions.

Can a villa have drinking water without a water connection?

Yes. An Air system makes water from the humidity in the air, then filters, sterilises and remineralises it. It only needs to be plugged in, so it is independent of the network and of deliveries.

How are systems serviced across a portfolio of villas?

From the nearest service centre, in Koh Samui, Phuket or Hua Hin, by Minairal technicians. The pre-filter is replaced every 4 to 6 months depending on the system, the other cartridges every 12 months, and a fault gets a response the same day in most cases, 48 hours at the latest.

Which system suits a six-guest villa?

At 2 litres per person per day, six guests need 12 litres. The Air Stand produces 16 litres a day on average, hot and cold. The model is confirmed at the site assessment.

Do you cover villas on Koh Phangan?

Yes. Koh Phangan is served from the Koh Samui service centre.

I want a system for my own home. Where do I buy one?

Residential systems are sold on the Minairal online shop, shop.minairal.com. For rental villas and managed portfolios, request a site assessment.
