Minairal

Drinking water systems for hotels and resorts.

Mineral drinking water produced on the property, from ambient air or from the existing water line, and served in rooms, the lobby, by the pool and in the restaurants. No bottle deliveries, no plastic stock, one service agreement.

What a hotel needs from its water.

A drinking water system for a hotel is a set of point-of-use water dispensers that filter, remineralise and serve water on the property, in place of the bottles delivered to rooms, bars and back-of-house. In Thailand, it has to cover five distinct areas.

Rooms

Water in every room, every day, refilled by housekeeping instead of restocked from a pallet of plastic bottles.

Lobby and reception

A welcome drink on arrival and a free-flow station guests can use at any hour, hot or cold.

Pool and beach

Water where guests spend the day, often far from any water line. This is where an Air system, which only needs to be plugged in, earns its place.

Restaurants and bars

Still water served at the table in glass, and a reliable source for kitchen preparation, coffee and tea.

Staff areas

Drinking water for the team in the kitchen and the back-of-house, so the hotel stops buying bottles for its own staff too.

The recommended configuration.

Set at the site assessment. Most hotels combine both technologies: Pure where a water line runs, Air where it does not, or where water must keep flowing when the network stops.

Point of useSystemWhy

Air, where there is no line.

Air systems condense humidity from the air and treat it on site. Three models, from the countertop Air Top, 13 L a day on average, to the Air Stand Pro, 30 L a day on average. They work between 30% and 80% relative humidity and need no water connection.

The Air range

Pure, where a line exists.

Pure systems connect to the existing water line: five-stage reverse osmosis, remineralisation, continuous UV-C sterilisation and internal recirculation, then delivery at 90°C and 4°C. Output is stable from the line, each system is sized for around 22 L of daily use, and installation takes under an hour.

The Pure range

What the hotel stops buying.

The method published on this site: two litres per person per day, counted 365 days a year, compared with half-litre bottles. One guest present every day is 730 litres and 1,460 bottles a year.

Assumption
100 guests on site each day, for example a 50-room resort at two guests per room. Staff not counted.
Daily volume
100 × 2 L = 200 litres a day
Yearly volume
200 L × 365 = 73,000 litres a year
Bottles replaced
73,000 ÷ 0.5 L = 146,000 half-litre bottles a year
Over three years
438,000 bottles

Each bottle was also bottled, trucked, shipped by boat to an island, chilled, stored and collected afterwards. An Air system takes water delivery off the site entirely.

Branded 500 mL glass bottles.

For rooms, tables and the spa, Minairal supplies an optional 500 mL reusable glass bottle. It can carry the hotel logo alongside ours, and the label prints the mineral composition of the water inside: calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium, at an alkaline pH.

Housekeeping fills the bottles from a system in the pantry instead of carrying sealed plastic bottles to each room. The bottle stays on the property and is used again.

Hotel questions.

How can a hotel serve drinking water in rooms without plastic bottles?

A system in the housekeeping pantry produces filtered, remineralised water, which is served in reusable 500 mL glass bottles. Rooms are supplied without a plastic bottle being bought.

Can the glass bottles carry our hotel logo?

Yes. The optional 500 mL reusable glass bottle can carry your logo alongside the Minairal logo, with the mineral composition of the water printed on the label.

Air or Pure: which suits a hotel?

Usually both. Pure connects to the existing water line and gives a stable output, hot at 90°C and cold at 4°C. Air needs no water connection, so it serves pool decks, beach bars and units far from a line, and keeps water flowing when the network does not.

How many systems does a 50-room resort need?

It depends on occupancy, the layout and the points of use, so it is set at the site assessment. As a reference, 100 guests at 2 litres each need 200 litres a day. An Air Stand Pro produces 30 litres a day on average, and a Pure system is sized for around 22 litres of daily use.

Who maintains the systems, and how fast do you respond?

Minairal technicians, on our payroll. Response is same day in most cases, 48 hours at the latest. The pre-filter is replaced every 4 to 6 months depending on the system, and the other cartridges every 12 months.

How is the water treated before guests drink it?

It is filtered by reverse osmosis at 0.0001 micron, polished by a post-carbon stage, then remineralised with calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium to an alkaline pH of 8.5 or above, with 40 to 80 ppm of total dissolved solids.
