What changes for a hotel on the island.
Bottled water reaches Koh Samui by ferry, then by truck, and leaves again as waste the island has to handle. For a resort, that chain means storage space, delivery slots, chilled stock and the risk of running short in high season.
The network has its own limits: salinity, and pressure that drops at peak demand. A Pure system on the line treats what the water carries. An Air system takes the network out of the equation, which matters most for villas, pavilions and beach outlets far from a pipe.

What happens when the island network is under pressure?
Air systems keep producing, because they make water from the humidity in the air and need only a power socket. Pure systems depend on the line, so outlets that must never stop are usually given an Air unit.
